The Big Man Dies Too.

This was finished between the sudden death of my grandfather along and Trump’s second election while anxious about the upcoming deadline for the painting’s viewing. Mortality became a theme. Loss can be profound on both personal and societal levels. While painting this, there was opportunity to reflect on death and cycles. We all go through life, life happens and sometimes it’s much more jagged then other times. But the big man dies too.
